{"id":12458,"date":"2026-07-23T23:13:57","date_gmt":"2026-07-24T02:13:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/convergencia.tech\/inicio\/?p=12458"},"modified":"2026-07-23T23:13:58","modified_gmt":"2026-07-24T02:13:58","slug":"investigadores-belgas-disenan-nanoblades-de-crispr-para-atacar-de-forma-selectiva-al-vih","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/convergencia.tech\/inicio\/investigadores-belgas-disenan-nanoblades-de-crispr-para-atacar-de-forma-selectiva-al-vih\/","title":{"rendered":"Investigadores belgas dise\u00f1an \u00abnanoblades\u00bb de CRISPR para atacar de forma selectiva al VIH"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Un equipo de la Universidad de Gante dise\u00f1\u00f3 part\u00edculas similares a virus (VLP, por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) decoradas con nanocuerpos dirigidos contra el receptor CD4, capaces de transportar y entregar de forma selectiva la maquinaria CRISPR hacia las c\u00e9lulas CD4, el tipo celular que el virus de inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH) infecta y utiliza como reservorio principal en el organismo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">La estrategia, conocida informalmente como \u00abnanoblades\u00bb de CRISPR, resuelve uno de los problemas m\u00e1s persistentes de la terapia g\u00e9nica contra el VIH: c\u00f3mo entregar de forma eficiente y segura la maquinaria de edici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica espec\u00edficamente a las c\u00e9lulas que albergan el virus, sin afectar al resto de las c\u00e9lulas del sistema inmune ni depender de vectores virales que puedan generar respuestas inmunes no deseadas o integrarse de forma indeseada en el genoma del paciente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">El inter\u00e9s de la industria por este tipo de sistemas de entrega no virales viene creciendo de forma sostenida, ya que buena parte de las terapias de edici\u00f3n g\u00e9nica en desarrollo dependen todav\u00eda de vectores virales adenoasociados (AAV) o de nanopart\u00edculas lip\u00eddicas que, si bien funcionan bien para dirigirse al h\u00edgado, tienen limitaciones claras para alcanzar de forma selectiva otros tipos celulares como los linfocitos T CD4. Un sistema de entrega basado en nanocuerpos espec\u00edficos abre la puerta a extender la edici\u00f3n gen\u00e9tica in vivo a un rango mucho m\u00e1s amplio de enfermedades m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las hep\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Para la comunidad cient\u00edfica que investiga una cura funcional para el VIH, el desarrollo se suma a una larga lista de estrategias experimentales que buscan eliminar el reservorio viral latente, uno de los mayores obst\u00e1culos para curar la infecci\u00f3n de forma definitiva en personas que hoy dependen de tratamiento antirretroviral de por vida.
